Topic Overview:

During the first half of the Autumn term, Nightingale will be reading 'Hodgeheg' by Dick King-Smith, who is also our class author.

Our topic work will be called 'Animal Antics' and we will be finding out all sorts of weird and wonderful facts about the animal world, particularly focusing on African animals.

In our ICT sessions, we will designing and programming our own computer games with an animal theme.

This year, our Year 3 children will be learning to play the violin - we are looking forward to discovering some new musical geniuses!

As part of our reading in Nightingale class, we are running a competition to find the best 'Extreme Reader'. To enter, the children must take a photograph of themselves reading in an extreme or unusual place. The winner will be announced at the end of the term.

Happy Reading and Good Luck!
